Real Estate appraisers determine market value by analyzing and comparing all aspects of the subject home, property and location to recent sales of similar homes in Kelowna ."The science of appraisal takes some of the guesswork out of that function", points out Mike.

"An appraisal background allows you to accurately determine a home's value as the basis for effective marketing. Market value, simply defined, is the price at which a home will sell for within a reasonable period of time—usually 60 to 90 days. A home listed at the correct amount above it's market value will sell at a better price—it will create more interest, and the more interest there is, the more offers it will generate", Mike explains.

Mike is among a small number of REALTORS® in the Okanagan Valley who is a Graduate of Real Estate Appraisal through the University of British Columbia. "Almost every deal I do, I'm able to put this knowledge to work and add value to the experience for a buyer or seller."
